| New companion Elder Palau |
We got Elder Palau! We didn't really know what to do for this transfer because all of the sudden we had 4 Spanish in the same apartment, sharing a phone and sharing everything. But we're split, Elder Rios-Lazo and I together, and Lopez and Palau together. So we tried calling president to see what his plan was (like 5 times) but he still hasn't answered us. But by the time Palau came on Thursday obviously we made our own plan. So we split Fort Walton in 2, and me and Rios-Lazo took 2nd ward. The problem is, the majority of the investigators we had were from 1st ward.
So this week was basically exploring 2nd ward area and trying to find Hispanics. We had some poopy days and then some pretty good days too. We ended up meeting the ex-wife of Raul S., our investigator who's ready for baptism when he gets married. But the ex-wife is super nice. Other than that, we've only found a few other Hispanics, a couple perverts, and the claimed last pope of the universe.
Palau is super awesome. He's a big ol' Tongan from Utah. He actually came out with me at the same time. He's got the best attitude ever and he's super positive.
We met a super cool teenager in Destin this week. We were finding Hispanics in this neighborhood, and a lady drove up to us and said "hey if you want to be harassed by a teenager girl, i have one waiting for you at my house." And then I was like uhhhhh. But. It turns out, this girl Katy sent her mom to go get us because she saw us in the neighborhood and got super excited. The day before we met her, her friend had given her a book of mormon. She had been waiting a long time to meet with missionaries and so she was super pumped we found her. But she's English so the sisters will teach her.
So in this neighborhood in Destin, we found people from all over the world. We found a guy from Romania, a girl from Brazil, a guy from Bangladesh, some girls from Russia, and some Muslims from Cseckloaoisd-something... haha IT was crazy.
Have a great week love you! Oh, and I'm going to baptize this girl named Valeria this week from the Gordillo family in Destin
